About Me

I’m an amateur photographer looking to break into professional work. With a year of experience, I am making an effort to shoot as much as possible, gain experience, and work with clients to deliver professional level results on my journey to becoming a team photographer. One day, I hope to be working for professional clients in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship, World Endurance Championship, GT World Challenge, and more.

What a year. I wanted to have a deep caption here, something thoughtful, but words are hard. It's wild to look back and see that, in two years, I went from exploring photography with an a6000 and a kit lens to shooting Petit Le Mans with an A7IV and 3 seperate lenses. I've made, in my opinion, incredible progress over the course of a year. I'm not perfect—far from it—but I've put the effort in and I'm extremely proud to say that it shows. It's really easy to get caught up in how everyone else has more followers, goes to more races, have more likes, etc, but this post helped put it into context. There are 136 people who have shown marked interest in this journey, the hard work is clearly paying off. It's really encouraging to see a number this big tied to something I put a lot into. Anyway, I'll try to cut the rambling short and just say I'm super excited to see where next year goes. Thanks for the support, I'll make sure it pays off.

Busy week last week, and it probably doesn't help that I went back to VIR, but we can get to that later. Jumping back to the Sahlen 6 Hour as I start to round out the year. I've planning one big end of year post, maybe some polls or something to see what you guys liked, and outlining some plans for growth. As much as I like posting here, the goal is to shoot for a race team, so more to come on that later.

And back to photos of Road Atlanta, who could've seen it coming? As much as I like VIR, I doubt you guys want to see the same track 15 posts in a row, so this is my way of mixing it up. Who knows, might even go back to Watkins 👀.

You might not be able to tell, but I've spent a lot of time at @virnow, and for good reason. This track is one of the best in the world to drive, to spectate from, and to just be at. Theres just something a racing that feels a lot more down to earth in virginia.

As much as I like the SRO America support series, we all know what we're really here for, right? GTWC grids prove that GT3 cars don't have to share a track with some prototypes to make a great series to watch, and theres a personality to these grids that larger series just dont have. Everything feels a lot more local, more makeshift, and more real.

Finally moving back a bit to GTWC's trip to @virnow. Figured I'd start off with some of my favorite cars from two of my favorite support series, Mclaren Trophy and @gt4america.

A little late for Halloween, but with two skeleton liveries I just had to do it, right? I'm a huge fan of pretty much any one-off livery, and these two were incredible. Black and white liveries are so rare on racecars, and the skeleton idea was incredibly creative.

While I definitely appreciate my new Sigma 150-600, shots like these are nice reminders that you can get a great photo with much cheaper gear. Half of a lens's quality is in how it's used.

Porsche is one of those brands where I can't pick a favorite era. The 944 is cool, the 993 is cool, the 991 is cool... you really just can't choose. These are the ones from @historicsportscarracing at @virnow that I chose to edit, but there were a lot more.
